Chapter (1)

The place was Europe , the time in the 1890.
2 – Why didn't Rudolf Rassendyll work?
Because he belonged to a rich and important family.
3 – What kind of work did Rose suggest Rudolf should do?
She asked him to take a job in an embassy with Sir Jacob.
3 – Why had the Rassendyll family been interested in the Elphberg family?
Because Countess Amelia Rassendyll married a member of the Elphberg  family and many of people look like the Elphberg.
4 – Where did Rassendyll decide to travel ?
To Ruritania to attend the coronation of the new king.
5 – What did he tell his family about travelling?
He told them he was going to the Alps to write about the social problems
6 – What did the owner of the in think of Duke Michael?
She thought that Michael should be the king because the real king only liked food and hunting. And Michael cared about people
7 – Why did Rassendyll decide to walk through the forest the next day?
to see the forest where the king was and might meet him

He met Sapt , Fritz and then the king, they were surprised because he looked like the king.

Because Amelia was married to one of the Elphberg and her ancestors looked like them
2 – Recall  why didn't many people know what the king look like?
Because he spent most of his life outside the country.
3 – Why do you think Fritz say that it is not a good time for Rassendyll to visit Strelsau?
Because he thought there might be a problem
4 – Why didn't Fritz and Sapt eat very much? And what did they advise the king not to do?
Because they had to get up early for the coronation. They advised the king not to eat too much.
5 – What was the result of the meal?
The king ate too much then ate cakes that poisoned him so he couldn't get up the next day.
6 – Why did the Duke poison the king?
To make him miss the coronation so he would become the king.
7 – Why was not Rassendyll as sick as the king?
Because he didn't eat many cakes , he ate one  only.
8 – How and when would they get the king to Strelsau?
They would hide him in the cellar , at night after the coronation Sapt and Rassendyll would come back and Rassendyll would leave the country.

The servant (Johann's mother) , they tied her and locked her with the king.

Before Michael's men came and might kidnap the king.

Because the king arrived earlier than planned

Because she might call out he wasn't the king

They make celebrations and there were foods and drinks.

Poor people who were loyal to Duke Michael.

He asked him to let him  ride alone to show people that he trusted them.

Because people support the Duke and might hurt Rassendyll.

It might mean the king was captured as Michael was planning.

Chapter (4)
A ) Answer the following questions :
1 – What did Sapt plan to do if the real king was dead?
He planned that Rassendyll would remain the king.
2 – Why did Michael's men have spades and what does it mean that they were going to " hide their evil work" ?
Because they were going to bury Josef's body so no one would know about their crime
3 – What did Rassendyll mean that some of those evil men should join Josef?
He meant that some of them should be killed.
4 – Why did Rassendyll use a new servant ? Who was the servant replacing?
In order not to realize that he was not the real king he replaced Josef.
5 – Who were the six men?
They were six special soldiers who worked for Duke Michael , three of them were from Ruritania, one was French, one was English and one was Belgian. Three of them were in Strelsau and three were in the castle.
6 – Rassendyll decided to keep some of his plans secret from Sapt and Fritz , What were those plans?
He wanted to make himself more popular to make people support him if he had a fight with Michael.
7 – Why did Rassendyll visit the princess?
To get her support for the king(real king)
8 – Why did he do on the way to princess and what was the result?
He bought some flowers from a poor girl and gave her a gold coin , people like this doing very much.
9 – Why couldn't Michael come into the room when the king was there?
Because he wasn't given permission from the king

When he asked why Michael didn't enter the room , he covered up this by saying that he forgot the rules.

He meant Duke Michael

He knew because of the way Detchard smiled at him when he was presented to him.

He was coming from Zenda with Rassendyll.

Because he didn't want him think that the king was going out.
C  - Find the Mistakes :
1 – Duke Michael was holding the king as a guest.
2 – If the real king died, Rassendyll would escape.
3 – Rassendyll bought some cakes from the poor girl.
4 – Rassendyll told Michael that a cat bit his finger.
5 – Of the Six men , four of them were Ruritanians.
Chapter (5)
A ) Answer the following questions :
1 – Rassendyll has never liked responsibilities, now he has many what are they?
He had the responsibility of saving the king and saving the country.
2 – Why did Rassendyll become good at pretending he had forgotten rules or people?
Because when he made a mistake he had to cover it up by pretending he forgot a person or something.
3 – What news did Sapt bring concerning the real king?
The king was at the castle Zenda
4 – Why did Rassendyll want to go to Zenda?
He wanted to rescue the king.
5 – Why did Sapt have Rassendyll followed everywhere? And what did he mean by " If you disappear , the game is over" ?
To protect him from Michael's men. He meant that if they killed or kidnapped him , they would kill the king , Michael would be the king so the game would be over.
