If you want to be good at English, the best thing you can do is to build up your
words. First of all, you should read a lot. You can read short stories, news, magazines,
etc.... As you read, you can guess the meanings of new words. If you cannot, then look
them up in a dictionary. Another way is to watch movies in English. Keep a vocabulary
notebook and write down a few words each day. You should revise them. In my opinion,
to speak to people all you need is to use the words you learned. Practice makes perfect.
