26. In the centre of the earth the ray of the sun made the lava walls sparkle like jewels.
27. They found their way in the darkness by using a strong electric torch.
28. Axel was worried about running out of water but the professor told him that there will be plenty of water later on.
29. The travellers went into the middle chimney because at noon the shadow of Scartaris fell on it.
30. Although all the scientists think that the centre of the earth is hot, Lidenbrock thinks that it is cold.
31. Professor Lidenbrock thought that the centre of the earth was cold but all the other scientists thought it was hot.
32. The rocks that the professor saw proved that he was right and that the centre of the earth can not be hot.
